Exciting Personal News
Lise announced today that due to her pregnancy she will be withdrawing from her scheduled performances after she has finished the run of Fidelio at New York’s Metropolitan Opera in March.
Lise said: «Unfortunately I have to cancel my shows for this year - after the middle of March - and I’m sorry for disappointing people who have already bought tickets. I’m cancelling for a happy reason: I’m expecting twins. I’m very excited about their arrival, and my new life with them.»
Lise continued: «I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the leaders of the opera houses I was due to sing at, and my colleagues who I was due to be performing with: thank you for your kind words, understanding and support. I look forward to joining you all again soon.»
«I’d also like to thank my fans and followers - in Norway, and all over the world - who have been so supportive in the ten years since I started my opera journey. I appreciate you more than words can say, and I thank you in advance for your patience as you wait for me to return.»
«And last, but not least, I want to thank my family, who are as excited about this news as I am. I love you.»
Lise is currently planning to return to performing at the beginning of 2026. She will announce her 2026 season later this year on her social media, and here on her website.
