Artist Spotlight, Barbican Centre, London
London’s Barbican Centre has announced Lise’s Artist Spotlight residency from January 2022. Three concerts and a masterclass (31 May) with students from the Guildhall School allow Lise to present a range of repertoire and musical styles.
On 13 January she’ll be in recital with her compatriot Leif Ove Andsnes in a programme that includes Wagner’s Wesendock Lieder and Greig’s only song cycle, The Mountain Maid.
30th of May sees her return for an evening of opera arias and duets with tenor Freddie de Tommaso and her regular pianist James Baillieu.
Berg’s Seven Early Songs are given on June 3rd with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra under their chief conductor Klaus Mäkelä.
